>Description:

de0 goes OACTIVE after some time. I got no error in /var/log/messages
nor in the console. The problem seems to happen when receiving incoming
data at a high rate. The machine run httpd, ftpd, sendmail, ntpd and
sshd. It happens every 2 or 3 days.

The problem occurs with 2.5 and 2.5 + all patch and when the
options NMBCLUSTERS is not set, set to 8192, or set to 16384

I also tried with the patch for 2.6: 001_ifmedia.patch

This is the output of ifconfig -a when the network is up:

>How-To-Repeat:

I can reproduce the problem by putting a tape backup on the machine
and backup another box on this machine using rmt. After about 10
mins the network stop working and the OACTIVE flag is set.
>Fix:

I don't know how to fix the problem.
