Dê uma olhada no /usr/ports/UPDATING

Houveram algumas mudanças no passado:

Aqui estou usando o:
perl-5.8.9_3        Practical Extraction and Report Language

Com as seguintes linhas no /etc/make.conf
PERL_VER=5.8.9
PERL_VERSION=5.8.9

20090113:
  AFFECTS: users of lang/perl5.8
  AUTHOR: skv em FreeBSD.org

  lang/perl5.8 has been updated to 5.8.9. You should update everything
  depending on perl. The easiest way to do that is to use
  *perl-after-upgrade* script supplied with lang/perl5.8. Please see
  its manual page for details.

Vi que o perl 5.10 também já está disponível, alguem aqui tem alguma
"nova" sobre ele?
