[FUGSPBR] Impressora USB - Problema!

Pessoal, estou com um servidor de impressão rodando FreeBSD 4.6.
Há um impressora paralela que funciona sem problemas. A questão é que
preciso fazer funcionar uma impressora USB agora
e não estou tendo sucesso.
Abaixo segue o dmesg...
Quando tento mandar algo para > /dev/ulpt0 ou ulpt1 recebo o erro:
Device not configured. Já usei MAKEDEV.
O mesmo acontece quando tento para ugen0.
Quando uso o cabo paralelo, consigo comunicação com a impressora mas a
"impressão" sai em branco.
Alguém tem uma idéia?
