[FUG-BR] powerd congelando máquina?

Eu uso, faz bastante tempo, e até hoje, só tive problemas em uma
máquina com um processador AMD Opteron dual-core. Infelizmente não
lembro o fabricante/modelo da placa mãe.
Aqui funciona normal, estou rodando o 8-CURRENT/amd64, com o powerd,
sem problemas de congelamento ou "travadinhas". Meu processador é um
Intel Xeon X3320, 2.5GHz, quad-core.

Estes picos mais "nervosos" eu reiniciei o Firefox (uso uma extensão
para reiniciar a raposa comedora de memória), e ele restaurou uma
sessão com 34 abas.
Vc está usando qual versão? Já chegou a postar alguma coisa nas listas
@freebsd.org? Pode ser algum barro do powerd, pois seu processador é um
K10, não é? Talvez tenha algum barro nas implementações do cpufreq para
os K10.
